_The Basic DSLR Photography course is designed for a beginner or any photographer just starting out. If you just purchased a DSLR camera or if you have been taking pictures in “Auto Mode” and would like to learn more about photography.

The aim of this course is to get you to understand your camera and to take pictures in manual mode by the end of the course; to get to know your camera and use and be familiar with all major functions of your camera. Taking pictures in difficult situations you never been able to do so before. The course has a very systematic approach and is divided into 5 theoretical classroom lessons and one practical bonus lesson of 2 hours.

The theoretical class is once a week from 7 PM to 9 PM for 5 weeks and each class is 2 hours. There will be a practical bonus class at the Corniche after class three.

This course with run throughout the year and a new class will start almost every month.

  • To take pictures in manual mode and the functions of your digital camera and how to use them
  • Exposure, light and flash basics and how to control it
  • Composition and design rules to make more compelling pictures
  • Aperture, what it is and how you control it to make nice portraiture pictures
  • Time and shutter control and how to take great action pictures
